Past Meets Future - T'Taul's Death

T'Taul Laid groaning and moaning, crushed under a door into engineering on the StarTraveler. He was trying to clear out the ship in order for the crew to feel more at home in the future. But now, here he laid, and it was even worse than he first realized it. Right below him, slowly leaking into him, Radiation from the messed up power system in order to set a good explosion, and now he knew he would die. T'Inss, trying to find his good friend, the one he had known for years, spotted him under the door. "T'TAUL!" T'Inss screamed, running for the door.

"No...No...Stay back, It's too dangerous..." T'Talu cried rasply at his friend. "Radiation...from the power supply, and the door crushing me....I wouldn't make it anyway..."

T'Inss looked at his good friend's face, the only thing not covered by the door pushing him onto the floor. "What...What can I do, then...I...I can't leave you here..."

T'Talu looked up, smiling a little at him. "Live a life....of Adventure...in this future we discovered...Find someone like me, you would be great friends with, Like yourself...It is my dying request from me, my good friend...Promise me..."

T'Inss nodded, tears starting to fall from his eyes. "You...You can't die here....The...The ship'll blow apart, T'Taul..."

He smiled. "Die with my ship...and with my death, I shall know, in my heart, that the ship shall go with me, and the rest of you will be safe....Please....My friend...You must go...Leave me here..."

Tears ran down his friend's face, and he smiled in comfort to him. "Go...Go, my dear old friend...the friend who saved me from the Vulcans, the one who got me a position on a ship, and the one who protected me and became one of my best and only friends....Thank you..."

With those words, T'Taul's head slowly fell back onto the floor, and his head turned to the side. He was gone. Gone with a message, of Comfort, and the knowledge, that the ship will be destroyed, to keep the federation safe, his new home.
